Marcy E. Gendel

Attorney-At-Law

Real Estate Closing and Settlement Attorney

Marcy E. Gendel is an Attorney admitted in the State of New Jersey and in Washington, D.C.  Graduating from Oberlin College in Ohio, with a degree in Psychology, she attended University of Miami and Seton Hall Law Schools, attaining her Juris Doctorate.

Early on in her career, she discovered that her personal and compassionate approach to the practice of law required her to start her own practice, which has been active and thriving since 1981.  She has been practicing law for the past 30 years with emphasis on real property and business related issues, along with the associated personal needs of her clients.  She is familiar with residential and commercial real estate, business needs, and 1031 exchanges.  With over 15,000 closings completed by her office, she not only handles their legal needs but is known as a compassionate and caring supporter of their personal goals.  She treats each client as an individual with a unique situation and concern.

For the past 5 years, she has been chosen by fellow attorneys to represent the interests of the public and legal community as a member of the State Bar Association’s  Board of Consulters.  This group of top attorneys in the Real Estate, Estate Planning and Probate areas reviews the proposed laws and issues that may affect the populous, as well as draft legislation.  They keep the legal community informed of present law, as well as potential changes that may affect their clients.

During both the recession in 1987 due to the tax changes, and the recent crisis concerning the mortgage company failures, she has handled the negotiations of clients who require short payoffs from the lenders in order to continue their lives.  To date, all of her negotiations have been successful.
