Intermediate to Advanced Level 1031 Exchange Seminar This is an intermediate to advanced level workshop on forward, reverse and improvement (build-to-suit or construction) tax-deferred, like-kind exchange transactions pursuant to Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 1.1031 of the Treasury Regulations. Seminar Sponsor This seminar is jointly hosted and sponsored by Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC and Harrison Douglas, Inc. Educational Workshop Content This educational workshop will begin with an introduction to various tax-deferral and tax-exclusion strategies, including combining Section 1031 with Section 121. The course will focus on the requirements, structures, processes, strategies, and compliance issues necessary to successfully complete a tax-deferred, like-kind exchange transaction. We will finish with an explanation of tenant-in-common investment property interests (TIC or CORE Interests) used as like-kind replacement property solutions pursuant to Revenue Procedure 2002-22. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers with our 1031 exchange experts. Who Should Attend? Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) interested in gaining a more in-depth understanding of the processes, requirements and compliance issues invovlved with completing successful 1031 exchange transactions. Continuing Education Credit (CE) Three (3) hours of continuing education CE credit will be provided to North Carolina Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) .
